"BITEZ'S WILL TAKE A BITE OUT OF YOUR HEART"

Princess Arinola Adegbite known professionally as BITEZ is a genre bending artist from Manchester, blending rap, pop, jazz, and Neo-Soul to create unique and spiritually uplifting sounds. BITEZ uses music to connect to people whilst accentuating the interior world and the politics of the personal. She draws inspiration from Nina Simone, FKA Twigs, No Name and Joni Mitchell. BITEZ is also a multi-award-winning poet, filmmaker, and performance artist. Her poetry collection ‘Algorithms of Meaning’ won an Eric Gregory Award from the Society of Authors 2023. BITEZ was awarded Manchester Young Creative of The Year for her artistic contributions to the city by the Manchester Culture Awards in 2021. Her music has been supported by Brighter Sound, MOBO Help Musicians, Turtle Bay, Youth Music, Factory International and Manchester Jazz Festival. Her art has been platformed by Selfridges, BBC, and Chanel. BITEZ has performed at Factory International, YES Manchester, FUEL café, Soup Manchester, Manchester Jazz Festival, Glastonbury and Sounds from the Other City. BITEZ breaks out of the straitjacket of genre whilst honouring her poetic roots and Afrofuturistic surrealist sensibilities. Much of her work explores technology’s influence on our reality and relationships.

Princess Arinola Adegbite (P.A.Bitez) is a poet and a performer in the truest sense of the word, experimental with sharp, lyrical rigor, committed to her craft on the page/ stage. I'm keeping ears and eyes on this voice, and I suggest we all do the same.

Her works blend and transcend different creative fields, yet her creations feel coherent and uncompromisingly authentic (Marco Sebastiano Alessi, Sound of Life magazine).
